Custom RDNS Provider

The custom RDNS provider feature allows you to integrate your own RDNS service into Tenantos.

Custom RDNS providers are added to Tenantos in the same way as standard RDNS providers.

Quick Facts:

  • Multiple custom providers can be added so that different API URLs to be addressed.
  • To cover edge cases, the body data is enriched to include meta information that aids in providing context to the request (see the API example file).

How to create a new external provider

An example of an API backend can be downloaded here. This example provides details on how Tenantos sends requests and what responses are expected.

  • After creating the API backend, add the RDNS server as usual.
  • Once the provider has been added, you can assign the RDNS server to subnets on the subnet configuration page.
